CARACAS, AUGUST 2 – Jackson Hinkle, face of ‘the Dive’ and executive member of the recently-founded American Communist Party was seen on Venezuelan national television speaking with the recently-elected president Nicolas Maduro.
Hinkle talked with Maduro on a range of topics, including on Elon Musk, the relationship between Venezuela and America, and what Maduro thought of the recent election.
The meeting was significant not just for Hinkle’s own webcast, but for the nascent American Communist Party (ACP). As Hinkle is, by his own words, a member of the executive committee of the party, this is a massive step forward into the spotlight for such a young political movement.
In a statement written on their website, the ACP congratulated Maduro on his recent election to office, and stated that “Jackson Hinkle and Carlos Garrido were invited to observe the elections by Venezuela’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs,” and that both of the executive committee board members “found the elections to be even more safe, secure and transparent than U.S. elections”.
Furthermore, the party stated that they were “deeply inspired” by the resilience of the Venezuelan people for their “strength and defiance in righteously exercising their will as a nation, despite being under siege by U.S. imperialism”.
